“ I always have a good impression of Goodwood Park Hotel, be it their famous durian pastries or its rich heritage seeping from its architecture. We came for the Taiwanese Porridge Set which is for two. It seems atas for this price point but I soon realized what I was paying for. The really fresh ingredients prepared skilfully. Every dish was a delight and wonderfully paired with the porridge with sweet potato, Taiwanese style! I went for the fried promfret with soya sauce, kung pau chicken, stir fry beef, omelette with Chye poh and others. The dessert buffet that came with the set was a cherry on the top. It was a very satisfying meal! Now onto the less pleasant points. We were seated along the corridor because the tables inside were booked. It was uncomfortable to be watched by passers-by while dining. And they seems to be understaffing their servers. It was really hard to get servers' attention especially while seated along the corridor. I would strongly advise reserving table inside the restaurant. The meal was worth a try. Regretfully, our experience could have been perfect ”

“ Famous for their porridge. Pomfret today was a bit overcooked so the meat was not as tender. Loved the Chye por omelette, deep fried crispy baby squid (coated with a sweet sauce) and kung Bao chicken. Dessert was mini cakes (carrot cake, tiramisu, chocolate cake). Their famous durian crepe needs to be ordered separately from the porridge set dinner. ”

“ Had Taiwan porridge buffet today with HSBC 1-for-1 offer and it was great value. Plenty to choose from. Service staff were more matured and their service was impeccable, very friendly, chatty and caring, plates were promptly cleared and water refilled very frequently. Food wise, all good. Porridge was lukewarm and could be hotter. What I didn't like was that some dishes, including porridge, we had to collect from buffet station. So each time we stood up to go to the station, we had to put on our mask. Once I forgot and had to go back to my table to get it. There're enough waiters around, they should consider serving all dishes to the table instead. Also buffet counter only has 1 staff and we had to wait a little to be served. Still 5* as the quality of food was good. ”
